I have decided to experience for just one night how people facing homelessness live every day by taking part in the Fred’s Place Community Sleepout on 30 July.

The Fred’s Place Community Sleepout aims to raise awareness of homelessness in the Tweed community as well as raise much-needed funds for Fred’s Place – an intervention and prevention support service that assists people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in the Tweed region.

Imagine, as you appreciate the comforts and safety of your home, what it would be like to sleep on the cold ground with just a sleeping bag and cardboard to protect you from the elements – that’s what I will experience as part of this event!
